Purple is by far one of my favorite colors, and Capri is surrounded by beautiful Bouganville flowers throughout it’s streets!

While we were walking on Fairfax Avenue we found this animal shelter/ dog apparel store with a cool vibe about it that caught our eye. As we walked in, we had to be careful not to let any doggies out and had to make sure to close an iron gate as the place was filled with happy pups and older dogs running around all over the place. We were puzzled and enquired what was the deal with the shop as it also had beautiful artistic photographs of dogs hanging from the walls and all you would need if you owned a dog from food to leashes and dog beds… We got told that they rescue abandoned dogs and that all the dogs there were out for adoption. I chose to write about this place because I think they need all the publicity they can get!!

Sorry for disappearing, my internet situation has been pretty precarious here in Italy, just got back to Milan from Rome, happy to be in my home town again, its been a while!
One of my favorite places to pass by in Rome each time I visit is Campo de Fiori, 5 mins walk from Piazza Navona and next to my favorite restaurant Ar Galletto. Here every day apart from sundays happens the cutest local market in Rome. Nothing better than surrounding one self with an array of different colors all at once!
Pass by it, next time your in town!

How gorgeous are these macros of fruits endocarps – remind me of Tie-Dye
They create such abstract patters, and I absolutely love the colors

Anyone who can photograph animals and convey through images their personality or capture a notion of it, has my full respect. Seth Casteel manages to do exactly so, photographing pooches all groomed up but also the less lucky pups. In fact he volunteers at dog shelters and by taking professional photos of the abandoned darlings tries to find them a new home. I think he is a great example to follow, and shows that anyone can help in these extreme cases. Here you can visit the website with the photographs of the dogs in question www.secondchancephotos.org, in the gallery section you can really see what difference Casteel’s photos have made!
Here is my selection of my favorite photos on Casteels website, I really enjoy the black and white ones, but on his website you can see also lots of colored ones, to view his whole series visit his website www.littlefriendsphoto.com – And if you would like to have a portrait of your own best friends Casteel can do that for you too.
