Matsuhisa LA – Restaurant Review

March 29, 2012 § 2 Comments

Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills is famous restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa first signature restaurant where it all began…Let me just say I had the best japanese dinner ever! melt in the mouth Toro sushi and Salmon sushi, black cod with miso to die for and a dessert that is still lingering on as possibly one of the best ice creams I had: shaved ice, whose texture was like snow,  onto which you poured yourself a mango/ passion fruit juice, pure bliss!! Marshall had albacore and yellowtail sashimi he still talks about and rock shrimp tempura that I tasted and loved. The place has a less trendy vibe to it than regular Nobu restaurant where part of the game is to see and to be seen, you could tell that there were regular customers who were greeted by the sushi masters by name! As I walked to the rest rooms I saw posters of the movies all signed by the starring actors, I took one shot of my fellow Italian Roberto Benigni who possibly ate there when he came to collect his Academy Award for Life is Beautiful. So don’t miss the opportunity to have one of the best meals in town. We promised we’ll go back too!! Can’t wait to do so!
