Norwegian Dinner at Natalie’s

Two nights ago in Paris, my photographer friend Natalie invited the girls from our course over to her place and cooked for us a fantastic and super delicious Norwegian dinner. I had never had before a Norwegian meal, and I have to say It’s a real shame because I really enjoyed it!
The starter was composed by a delicious super sweet brown cheese called Brunost, melted over baguette bread. The cheese is made from goat’s milk, when its being made it gets cooked until it caramelizes, and in fact it tastes like caramel. So succulent we all had two slices!
As a main course Natalie carefully cooked her grandmother’s special recipe, an intricate layering of deliciousness, from spicy sausages to cheese, vegetable and potatoes! It was so so so good! Natalie was worried the portion was too big for all of us, but in the end we devoured everything! Her grandmother should be very proud!
For dessert I brought two chocolate brownies from my favorite chocolate shop in Paris: Une Dimanche a Paris! A chocoholics dream!
Thanks Natalie for the lovely meal! I really enjoyed it! Especially followed by our conversations!
