Restaurant Review: The Ivy

I have heard a lot about it and today we finally went there for lunch. The sunny day called for an outdoor meal so that’s were we sat: on a magnificent porch with white parasols beautifully appointed tables with large vases of multicolored roses. I know that the Ivy is a place to spot celebrities, no one there today to be labeled that way but still a hip and trendy crowd! I managed to shoot some photos before being summoned not to. On the menu lots of fresh salads as a typical Californian fare. Waiters all wear great flowery ties, white trousers and pink shirts, you feel you are eating at a country inn. I had a wonderful chopped green salad with roasted turkey breast applewood smoked bacon and Marshall a Lime Chicken Breast with sauteed spinach, but we could’ve had anything from prime rib steak, lobster, pizza, risotto and pasta and rack of lamb… We indulged sharing a Key Lime Pie for dessert and I had a banana strawberry frappé. i enjoyed, and highly recommend it. Also, to contribute to the perks of this place, Robertson Boulevard where it’s located is filled with great shops for clothing and home decor. So quick…make a reservation and take your sweetie there!! Enjoy!!
