Restaurant Review: The Sonnenhof – Gstaad

February 8, 2012 § 5 Comments

Yesterday my mother (Milly) and I went for a long walk in the Grüben area (post shortly to come) we decided to reward ourself (when ever we want to pig out we say “reward” sounds nicer) by going to my absolute favorite restaurant in the whole Gstaad/Saanen/Rougemont area: the Sonnenhof. Set on top of a mountain overlooking all of Saneen and Gstaad, the Sonnenhof is definitely a restaurant you want to visit whilst here. I personally recommend it for the day as (when the weather permits) so one can enjoy lunch of the terrace admiring the views.

Their amusebouche – Consommé with beef

Their Salade Mêlée et Graines rôties

My Favorite: Entrecôte sur ardoise

Milly’s favorite: The  black truffle filled Ravioli’s

The best Rösti in town

Emincé de Veau, sauce aux champignons à la créme et rösti

The coffee cookies
